Studies
Swiftedge Wall Report
A monthly study of large order book walls: price levels where unusually large resting orders sat for at least six minutes. For every wall it records what happened when price came near. Did the wall hold, was it eaten by trades, or was it pulled before price reached it?
First edition: the first Wall Report covers November 2026 and will be published in early December 2026, with the full data as a CSV file.
How it works
- Every minute, the study finds the price levels in the top 3% of resting size for the day. A level that stays there for at least six minutes is a wall.
- When price comes near a wall, or the wall disappears close to price, the full order book and every trade at the wall's price decide the outcome.
- Held: trades hit the wall, it stayed, and price turned back. Eaten: at least half of it traded. Pulled: it was canceled with less than 10% traded. Mixed: no clean outcome.
- Each UTC day is classified shortly after it ends, from the recording of that day, and the result is stored. Nothing is recalculated later.
Common questions
Where does the data come from?
From public perpetual futures order books from Hyperliquid and Lighter, recorded by Swiftedge four times a second together with every trade. The classification is Swiftedge's own.
Can I cite or reuse the results?
Yes. Each edition has a suggested citation, a permanent link and a CSV with one row per wall.
Is this a trading signal?
No. The studies describe what happened in the order book. They are information and education, not signals, forecasts or financial advice.
