Exocharts and Swiftedge compared
Exocharts is an order flow charting platform for crypto and futures, with a desktop version and a web version. Swiftedge Depth is a free browser chart for Bitcoin and Ethereum futures: a footprint and candlesticks on top of the live order book heatmap, with options levels, no account needed.
What Exocharts offers
From Exocharts's own website, checked on 21 October 2026 (exocharts.com):
- Desktop Pro for Windows and macOS: footprint charts, DOM, volume and TPO profiles, indicators such as bid-ask imbalance, stacked imbalances, open interest and liquidations, and multi-screen workspaces.
- Markets. Crypto exchanges including BitMEX, Bybit and Binance (spot, USD-M and COIN-M), and CME, Eurex and Nasdaq data through a dxFeed connection, with years of tick-by-tick history.
- Web version in the browser with pre-configured candle types and the major crypto markets, without DOM, sessions or multi-screen workspaces.
- Prices according to its website in October 2026: Desktop Pro from 38 USD a month and Web from 23 USD a month on six-month plans, plus VAT. Free use is limited to selected pairs, or delayed data on the web version.
What Swiftedge's footprint offers
| Footprint in Swiftedge Depth | What you get |
|---|---|
| Cells | Volume sold into the bid and bought from the ask at every price row, with bars behind the numbers |
| Imbalances | Diagonal, 300 %, highlighted per cell; three or more in a row are marked as stacked |
| Per candle | Point of control, and a Volume, Delta and Delta % table under the chart |
| Timeframes | Footprint 5 seconds to 1 hour; candlesticks 1 second to 4 hours; or auto from the zoom |
| Zoom | Numbers when there is room, coloured cells when zoomed out, plain candles further out |
| Data | Every trade with the exchange's own aggressor side; about 48 hours of history |
| Underneath | The live order book heatmap of the same market, so resting liquidity and traded volume are on one chart |

Which one fits
- Exocharts fits when you want a dedicated order flow platform across many crypto pairs and futures markets, with profiles, DOM, long tick history and multi-screen layouts, and are happy to pay for it.
- Swiftedge fits when you want a live footprint for Bitcoin or Ethereum with the order book heatmap underneath, stacked imbalance zones, options levels and alerts, free and in a browser tab.
Swiftedge covers two markets from one venue (Binance futures) and about 48 hours of footprint history. It is not a trading platform.
Common questions
Is Swiftedge a free alternative to Exocharts?
For a live Bitcoin or Ethereum footprint in the browser, yes: it is free with no account. Exocharts covers many more markets and offers profiles, DOM and long tick history in its paid versions.
Does Swiftedge show an order book heatmap under the footprint?
Yes. The footprint is drawn over the dimmed live order book heatmap of the same market, so resting orders and traded volume are on one chart.
Which timeframes does the Swiftedge footprint support?
From 5 seconds to 1 hour, or auto from the zoom. Candlesticks go from 1 second to 4 hours. About 48 hours of history are available.
Does Swiftedge mark stacked imbalances?
Yes, inside the footprint and as a separate indicator, Stacked imbalance zones, which draws each zone until price trades through it. Our data on how long they hold.
