FAQ
When does gold trade?
Spot gold and COMEX gold futures trade almost around the clock from Sunday 18:00 to Friday 17:00 New York time, with a one-hour break every weekday at 17:00 New York time. The most active hours are when London and New York are both open. The XAUUSDT perpetual on Binance trades 24/7, also at weekends.

COMEX gold trades electronically almost 24 hours a day; 08:20 New York time is the traditional open of the New York session that most gold traders watch, and 13:30 New York time is the settlement.
When are the LBMA gold auctions?
At 10:30 and 15:00 London time on London business days. They set the LBMA gold price, a benchmark used for contracts and valuations. This page shows the times only.
Is gold open on Sunday?
Spot gold and COMEX reopen on Sunday at 18:00 New York time (22:00 or 23:00 UTC, depending on daylight saving time). Before that the market is closed; see weekends and the daily break.
Why do the UTC times change during the year?
The US and the UK move their clocks on different dates, so the gap between New York, London and UTC changes a few weeks a year. The tables on this page always use the correct time for the day.
